SERDANG, MALAYSIA – Novavita Sdn. Bhd. has achieved another significant milestone by formalising a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Guangzhou Bi’An Information Technology Co., Ltd. (OPB), China, during MAHA Trade Days 2026 at the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) in MAEPS, Serdang.
The MoU was signed by Mr Ahmad Shaiful Alwi Md Nor on behalf of Novavita Sdn. Bhd. and Mr Guonan Hou representing Guangzhou Bi’An Information Technology Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
This collaboration marks an important step towards strengthening international cooperation in halal compliance and supporting manufacturers seeking to enter Malaysia, Indonesia and other Muslim consumer markets.
Through this partnership, Novavita aims to support international businesses in understanding and preparing for halal certification requirements, helping them navigate the compliance processes necessary to access these markets.
Building Businesses That Are Halal-Ready
At Novavita, we believe that achieving halal certification begins long before the application process. Businesses must first establish the necessary foundations to ensure that their operations, systems and practices are aligned with the relevant halal requirements.
Being halal-ready means preparing the entire organisation, from raw materials and supplier management to operational processes, documentation, internal systems, employee training and audit readiness.
This comprehensive approach enables businesses to strengthen their compliance practices, improve operational preparedness and approach halal certification with greater confidence.
Supporting Halal Compliance Across Key Markets
Novavita provides advisory support to businesses navigating halal certification requirements in key markets, including:
- Malaysia – JAKIM: Supporting businesses in understanding and preparing for Malaysia’s halal certification requirements.
- Indonesia – BPJPH: Supporting businesses in understanding and preparing for Indonesia’s halal certification framework.
By helping businesses establish a strong foundation for halal compliance, Novavita seeks to bridge the gap between international manufacturers and the requirements of Muslim consumer markets.
Beyond Certification: Enabling Market Access
The MoU with Guangzhou Bi’An Information Technology Co., Ltd. represents an opportunity to expand collaboration and promote greater awareness of halal compliance among international businesses.
As global demand for halal products continues to create opportunities across industries, businesses must recognise that halal certification is not merely a regulatory milestone. It also requires a commitment to compliance, organisational readiness and the consistent implementation of appropriate practices.
For Novavita, the mission remains clear: to help businesses prepare for halal certification systematically and confidently, while supporting their ambitions to access wider halal markets.
Halal is more than a certificate. It is compliance, readiness and market access.
